![]() ![]() have lead me to conclusion that PI's are probably better suited for specialized SDR tasks rather than general scanning. The combination of not enough CPU for FFTs/GUI's, custom building for the PI kernel (takes FOREVER for GNU Radio), etc. I have had a "bad time" working with most of the main-stream SDR software available on Raspberry Pi's, or at least getting them working to a point of satisfaction. While the Pi4 definitely has the enough USB bandwidth and oomph to stream the SDR bits in real time at 20 MHz, what you do with those bits afterwards will ultimately be your bottleneck. ![]()
